I got into cycling early last spring when a friend gave me an old road bike. In the months to come I realized just how addicting (in a good way!) this sport is. Over the summer I got a new bike of my own, but never thought I’d ever be one of “those cyclists” wearing Lycra because I was too self conscious. Well after months of riding pad-less on the saddle, I finally caved and put on a pair of bibs and a jersey of my own today, and boy does it feel amazing! I feel like I’m really “part of the club” and even mustered up the confidence to walk into a coffee shop and sit down with a cup of coffee along my ride. Anyway, just wanted to say how great it is to be part of this community!

You look like a pro!
Looks good if you feel good.
I’ve had the same transition this year haha
In April I got my first gravel bike, I was instantly hooked. Initially I also said “I’m not gonna be one of those roadies”, but 6k km later (which the most of it was on pavement) I’ve ordered a road bike and I’m absolutely thrilled for the next spring to get back on the road haha
Don’t let anyone fool you, enjoy every bit of this absolute banger of a hobby
Cannot believe yall willingly post pics of yourselves wearing this shit…
