Well, the runin is fundamentally downhill more or less all the way into the final kilometer and then in that final 500 meters, it’s a testing and challenging ramp. But it’s it’s challenging not just be because well, they’ve got about a 3% gradient. It’s nothing horrific, but it is it’s a little bit of a challenge after 178 km of racing, but it’s also winding and twisting through that final kilometer as well. Very, very narrow roads. And there’s even a little uh right left wiggle inside the final 100 meters. Well, it was looking very likely on the diesel climb that we were going to see possibly an Italian winner. Um, those two have been distance. We still may have an Italian winner here with a Lorenzo Germani. Um, but we’ve got very strong Florian Vermeier um from Belgium just behind u with the lowland from from Norway. But this man here, well, he’s going all out now. 2 km to go to the finishing line and as you say, it’s uphill. Um but he’s going to be joined by the Norwegian and Belgian. So three up for the win inside the final two kilometers. And how do they play it? And they’re coming from behind. So they can’t afford to ease up here. Podium positions locked out for Luland Germany and Florian Verish. Unless Diego Elissi can possibly summon up something a little bit special. I wouldn’t rate them out because you can see that they’ve clearly slowed a lot of it. Um and I think um that Alicia isn’t that far away. Dretto isn’t that far away as well, but it’s the effort they’re going to have to make to come back to the front to fight it out for the victory that might pay um on the ramp up towards the finishing line. But you know, we’ve seen these things happen in and party tour just quite recently that they started looking at each other and you know, missed out in the victory. But it looks as if these three will come to the the line together. Um very hard to tell who is probably going to be the strongest. I think after the effort of Germany there he went all out to try and taste victory and it’s still could be for Italy today and group armor. Yeah. Who wants to ride through just as you go under the kite? Well, Lorenzo Jamani did and Diego Elisi one last push on the pedals. Looks like he’s going to make it four for the win here. Will he go rolling them over the top having been dropped? Well, it he is a former specialist at these finales and Jaman looks to cover a little faint from Florian and Vermeier. Everyone’s sort of nervous about this and with the exception of Diego Lisi, there’s not huge experience of major one-day successes among this group of riders. Verir mentioned in great form, but he too not necessarily a prolific winner. 600 m remaining and it’s a winding and twisting final half kilometer here in through Pasano Delg Graa gem of the Venetto region this one at the foot of the Alps time for a grapple later on we’ve got Florian Vermeier just behind Luland Luland’s got the got the advantage and I think there’s probably a significant advantage in controlling through these final winding twisting uh ramp through to the line here and Luland has the advantage into the final 200 m. We’ve still got a little wiggle through to the line here. But Luland is grinding his way towards glory and is Florian and Verish going to be able to get up to prevent him. At least he still continues to believe into the final moments and he’s looking over his shoulder, but he’s just about done enough. And it is glory once again for the Inox Mobility Squad. Two years in succession. And the victory taken by Sakarius Culler Land. Major one-day success for the 24y old Norwegian as he fends off the rest of the breakaway and indeed again for a second successive year. Success coming from the early break of the day. Superbly entertaining way to conclude the 2024 European professional road racing season. And at the Denim turns comes through to what for him is not the conclusion that what he want he would have wanted but certainly he’s played a significant role in giving us a great piece of entertainment today almost 44 km/h and tell you that’s about a half a kilometer faster than they managed on the similar parkour 12 months ago. So the racing continues to be hot and heavy all the way to the line and minor positions being fought over like it was for the win and Tim Wellins frustrated and at least manages to take the glory such as it is for that minor position over to Bruna London. Huge moment for him and among the first up to congratulate him his teammate from the break Frederick Divernes. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Now they found another one or Norwegian talent is developing at a pace. with the recent uh retirement of Alexander Kristoff I think well is a rider of different caliber isn’t there but more great talent emerging from the Nordic nations in Norway in particular fight their way through to the conclusion and we get a little look at the beautiful Ponte Deli Alpini [Applause] handiwork of Andrea Paladio who hailed from hereabouts, famous medieval architects, working his magic. Beautiful surroundings. What a a great location to conclude the uh the season and a fabulous day of racing. Brian, I think that one gave us absolutely everything. Yeah. No, it was great. Um great final there. You know, it’s hard fought. You can see all these raiders coming in in drips and drops.
