  1. Looks like sealant got passed the tape and seeped into the carbon area. This is why some carbon wheels have those little tiny holes on the side, to prevent build of up pressure from trapped air, gasses, and liquids. Before adding sealant, I like to make sure the tire can hold air overnight to verify the tape job is solid.

  2. It looks like your rim tape wasn’t properly sealed and you pump air into the deep section causing the failure. Does the wheel have holes in the carbon to vent and/or the ENVE pressure relief valve nuts?

  3. Those rims have a lifetime warranty. Contact Santa Cruz. Their customer service is phenomenal. They are complete stoner gear heads.

    Don’t waste your time complaining on here. Just contact Reserve and they’ll have a new wheel headed your way in no time. They replaced mine very quickly and it was some of the best customer service ever!!
