Hitting the trails for the first time can be rough! The climbs are hard, the rocks are scary and a lot of things can go wrong. But with the right gear and expertise from @rei you’ll be setting yourself up for success! Grab a bike, a helmet and a sense of adventure. Take your time to learn the bike and don’t be afraid to walk features as your skills develop! Oh…and definitely don’t forget the knee pads. 😂

Looks like you’re all ready to ride, man. The bike’s all set up. Yeah, I think she’s all ready to go. You got your helmet? Got it right here. You got a sense of adventure? Yes. And yes. Did you need knee pads, too, or? No, I think I’m good, but thanks, man. [Music] How was it? It was sick, dude. But I think I will take those knee pads. Yeah, good call. Let me go grab them. Sick.

He threw it on his left for safety
I just went mountain biking with my friends for the first time today and THANK GOD I got knee pads because i went otb down a black diamond and slammed my knee into a rock. The knee pads lowkey saved my life lol
Ain't that the truth😂😂😂😂😂
That's me. I buy the knee pads. Then never hit my knees. However my shins look like a lion attacked them.
I love those trails around Granite bay/Folsom lake area, i spend summer there occasionally, your vids make me miss them!
First time I went mountain biking my buddy convinced me to hit a blue, I still have a scar from it
That’s what I call a good day
Totally the opposite of my first time, I did a blue/red trail om a rigid mtb.
Believe it or not that was the last time I rode that bike
It’s when it’s your first time you hit a tree, yep that determines your future in MTB riding 😂
I’ve got ALL of the pads. Two or three different sets of ALL of the pads. I generally ride with just a helmet and gloves.
What knee pads do you recommend?
This guy “Idubbzz” Phil you know damn well you know who that is 😂 I hate how he acts like he doesn’t go on the internet lol even those he’s been on the internet for over 10 YEARS. I think it’s an act doody, he can’t be that stupid… Or maybe he is 😅
After my first time in a mountain bike I wanted to go back and get an E-bike 😅.
Bought knee pads a month ago. I crashed on my first ride with them. Busted my leg half an inch under the knee pad. 😂
100% me
Knee pads, Elbow pads and Chest protector you might as well go full circle!
chico Ca? or like auburn?
"it's so fun" *heavy panting the whole trip*
I spent my entire childhood skating without knee pads or a helmet. I thought it was uncool. I grew up and decided to start traveling by bike, bought a new mountain bike and knee pads, elbow pads and a helmet. And now I realized how relaxing it is, how much it relieves stress while driving on uneven roads. When you're without protection, you're constantly worried, you limit yourself, you ride more slowly and more boringly, because you understand that if you fall, you'll probably get injured. And with protection, I was able to fully realize my potential and began to develop my mountain riding skills.
I would always use the excuse of not having my reflectors on my bike because because it was bought piece by piece instead of complete. Oh and to shave weight😂
Needs a closeup of shins with clotted holes punched in them from the metal pins in the pedals.
bro i want one bike pls
Seriously boring AF…!! 😢😅
The sport where you willingly go into dept for
I hate wearing pads, but I tore up my knee last week WITH pads on…pretty sure my old ass wouldn't be walking right now without them.
