  1. I started noticing some skipping recently, I used Park Tool CC-3.2 to check the chain and it was done.

I replaced the chain with [KMC e11 11 Speed e-Bike Chain](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07J38LX6M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) and now the 6 smallest cogs on the cassette skip constantly while pedaling. The top 5 cogs seem to be fine.

    24-28-32-37-42 = Fine
11-13-15-17-19-21 = Unusable, multiple skips in a single rotation

Cassette: Shimano DEORE m5100 (1,500 miles)

Was it skipping before you replaced the chain? If so, you may have let the chain go too far and ruined the cassette. A cheap chain stretch checker tool is a good investment as you can get 3 to 4 chain replacements out of a single cassette by changing it when stretched.

The only other thing I can think of is that you got the wrong chain for your drivetrain. The width of thr chain needs to match the number of cogs on your cassette.

Chains stretch, this stretch is measured by checking the distance between a set number of rollers to determine if it’s out of spec. If you replace the chain right when it reaches the point of being worn out you have no problem and everything is going to mesh together properly.

It’s possible it’s something else but I’d bet you over-wore your chain. When you go significantly past 100 % chain wear the distance between rollers is now much wider than the distance between teeth on the cassette and chainring. The over-worn chan will now deform the teeth on the cassette and ring, changing the profile of the teeth to fit the worn out chain. Now you’ve put a new chain on and the teeth are too deformed to grip it and you get slipping.

You need a new cassette and possibly chainring, the now worn cassette can stretch your new chain if left unchecked so if you let it go you’re going to need a chain too. Look at the instructions for the chain checker, it should tell you what reading to replace the chain and what reading means your whole drive is shot.

You may just need a hanger alignment and derailleur adjustment but I think it’s the chain given your description.
