I've had this since 2019. Pulled it from a recycle dumpster and rode it home. I've moved a few times but I do have most of the original parts albeit scattered. I'm gonna tackle this right after the holidays. I've seen a number of these and love all of them. This one is chipped and dinged and just a cruster. I want to keep it crusty but functional. I have some ideas but which way would you go with this?

  1. Definitely a front rack, brooks saddle, paul everything, and campy drivetrain. That way it’s exactly like everyone else’s hard rock.

Seriously, it depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want a rat bike for the bar or do you want something snazzy?

I’ve been tempted by fixies the past couple weeks after seeing one in the bike shop. Wanna do a fixie? Fuck. I don’t know. It’s your bike!

  2. 92 – 94 Hard Rock. Id go 1×10. And either get nice v brakes or cantilevers.

Bontrager makes really cool 26″ hybrid tires with a reflective sidewall.

    Tan wall billy bonkers.
    Box prime 9 groupset.
    Get some decent wheels.
    1 1/8 quill stem conversion.
    Surly sunrise bars.
    Decent brakes and pads.

Enjoy a resto-mod that’ll take you pretty much anywhere with style and quickness.
