Buy some Alphanamel signwriters paint, loosen it up with white spirit, and drizzle it on.
I did this frame linked below with Alphanamel because it just didn’t seem worth doing a proper paint job on it. I didn’t loosen the paint, but I have done so on other frames in the past. If you pick good colours and make it watery and drip it along the frame it makes some pretty nice effects if you build it up over a few passes.
Really good paint! Rock solid, never chips or flakes or fades. It’s weatherproof, and when you want to change it you just soften it up again with white spirit, and wipe it off.
