This cyclist is about to create one of the coldest moments in Olympic history because after cycling 250 km in first place, his tire went flat just before the finish line and his competitors were catching up. So, he started panicking and tried everything to get a new bike. He needs a bike needs a bike. It’s drama to the last. Thankfully for him, he does get a new bike and it’s going to be panic over for Remco Nepal. And after getting a new bike, he was able to continue and was on his way to winning the race. But watch what happens just as he crosses the finish line. And finally the moment. The celebration is here. He knows he has done it. The streets of Paris are paved with gold. The Reco utter domination. And that is an image.

  1. This is only half the story. This was after he had already won the time trial race at the same Olympics, making him the first and only person to win both.
So this isn't just a "wow he won and did a cool pose", he knew he was making history and that that were the stakes.

And you can bearly see it at this camera point, but the downward motion at the end is him slamming down the horn on an oldschool telephone, having 'answered the call' of history.
