I've had bad luck with Sram rotors/pads and their terrible turkey gobble noise and vibrations. My epic 8 came with centerline rotors and my new grevil had pacelines. They both had this turkey wobble noise and felt very weak under heavy braking. Nothing I tried fixed them. Upgraded both to Galfer rotor/pads and immediate night and day difference. These are the newly released shark road/gravel rotors.

Same here… I need to look into these. Im about 1800 miles in on a new force group and the brakes are horrible.
I thought floating rotors are motorcycle teritory. 😀 Looks sick though, and that paintjob. ❤️
By turkey gobble, are you referring to the almost like bubbling sound under medium intensity braking?
I was wondering what was causing it (Sram Rival) and was assuming it was where the spacing was off and the pads were clipping the arms. If it’s as simple as fitting new rotors then that’s definitely something I want to try.
Turkey gobble? I have had no abnormal issues with my SRAM Red brakes
It is fine if you don’t like the noise. And yeah, Galfer rotors are better. It is pretty common in many sports or hobbies for there to be a specialist company that focuses on one thing, so they do it better than the rest. This is what Galfer is. But I have not seen anyone have ACTUAL stopping issues with the E1 brakes. The issue is not with the Brakes, even if it does annoy people. The brakes are fine. Even the video below shows that the person is actually pedaling AND braking at the same time. I have Galfer rotors, and I guarantee that if I pedaled while braking, it would not be good. This is all no different than pre-disc brakes when people got better stopping power by changing out brake pads and getting different wheels set up for their brakes and specific weather conditions/riding style.
Crap, and I just got new Pacelines as a replacement to the Centerline X that came with my bike. Somehow, after 2300, the second set of front pads are already looking pretty thin. Both brakes also noticeably “pump”, as if the gaps in the rotor actually just slip through and the pads catch onto the edges.
Good to know. I’ve been battling the same type of noises on my Crux with SRAM brakes. Strangely, my Transition Spur with SRAM brakes have been super silent and very powerful.
Where did you find the Shark rotors? Quick look they seem to be hard to find online.
