I got this bike from a family member a longtime ago, but it has mostly sat in the shed and been forgotten about. I don’t know much about mountain bikes and what they’re truly worth. Would anybody please tell me their honest opinion about whether I have a piece of garbage or something that just needs some love and would be worth something? I don’t want to put more work into it, just want to sell it as is

You’ll be hard pressed to get more than $50 for that, good bike but rather dated.
    I’d donate it.

  2. Give it away for free. No value to it other than giving someone an opportunity to pedal around town. Not a mountain bike at all.

  3. Put it on Marketplace for $100, but be willing to go down to $50. Alternatively, if you have a local bike co-op, donate it to them.

  4. If it had just been through a full tune up at a bike shop and was ready to ride I’d pay $150 for it.
If it’s been sitting in a shed for years and needs work I’d pay $50 for it.

I’d donate that if it were mine. I’d much rather just cop the quick karma points and move on vs dealing with the inevitable fb marketplace nonsense for a mere $50-100.

  6. Maybe $50. If I was looking for a beater bike that is still decent quality, I would have no issue paying 50 for it, but nothing more. Assuming it is in good working order
