Dry and dusty on track! Riding DH in Andorra for World Cup round 4! Vlog #3

First day of practice here in Andorra and we’re out here riding some quality downhill!

How crazy is it that the track looks so good after yesterday?!

g’day and welcome to practice day we survived yesterday’s gnarly thunderstorm dude is hailing [Music] and uh yeah we’re ready to go head out for practice I just went and had a look at the bottom section it’s a little bit Slick still the top is looking amazing so super excited to ride and get on the bike and uh yeah see you up there for a run new kit looks good huh nice good job love the yellow bits me too and I I got a pair of yellow gloves that I probably run for race day yeah it’ll match real nice but yeah it looks good it looks like I joined my military oh and then Lucas got his uh his American sleeve oh yeah so he really looks American thank you sir all righty have fun I will [Applause] say fun out there okay here we died a little slice up it’s the stock standard Joby up in here mate yeah that’s the guy from DHR rear no inserts secret pressures secret spoke tensions yeah everything’s a secret we get away it’s going to be quite apparently it’s quite good up there this morning but if it gets dusty changing or not potentially yeah yeah yeah potentially we uh we got some some things we can try so there we go I’m not necessarily top secret you just gotta have keen eyes yeah really you’ve got Keen eyes then you’ll see it like these ones good bike top kill art the pilots we’re not in France yet this is the bike for the driver the driver driver the driver got a license to drive that bike mate nah oh well technically yeah I got a UCI license so yeah I kind of do it so you want to wind it back so no I wouldn’t want it out if you want to wind it like once you start crazy wow the truck’s fun all right see how I just go again it’s too much fun straight up [Music] oh yeah that’s the ticket that was fun that was uh pretty fast for the first run tracks mint with uh with some of that like I don’t know dry stuff at the top being a bit more compact now and yeah I’m actually really like enjoying that hopefully the woods get a little bit dry because they’re pretty slick at the moment and it’s greasy but um apart from that bike it was really smooth Aaron’s trying to kill the job um brakes are better than yeah now I just got to find the flow and find the lines and uh tell you guys on another lap [Applause] thank you [Applause] foreign foreign [Applause] no yeah I did two runs as you probably thought I was supposed to be like Luca came back twice how was it that’s pretty good actually it was uh yeah fire feels really smooth pretty soft but I think it’s good for now yeah we have heaps of range to go harder so yeah yeah I’m pretty pretty happy with it so far that’s why I did another run straight away because I was like oh yeah yeah he’s pretty good bars and levers and everything are okay yeah the rear brakes not biting white it’s not cooling but it’s not like it’s just a little bit too firing for my liking I can try yeah the problem the problem is because it’s hot the Pistons just go in like this and then yeah yeah so leave it for now see if it if it pulls in I know as soon as it starts pulling it up pause and tell me yeah yeah I’d rather not because like I say I’d rather not drag yeah yeah let it cool down and then yep but it feels good I did like a half log then so you’d be able to see there’s like Fast fish there we go thank you so we’ve uh pumped out a few runs here um track is drying out a fair bit the top is sick but it’s blowing out as well so yeah just uh I don’t know enjoying enjoying ride my bike um learning the lines but there’s not actually too many to this track and uh yeah the bottom of the woods are still slippery um pretty dark in there as well so it might not get too much sun but yeah just trying to play around get the line styled um we’ve got a bit of time in between practice sessions to have some lunch and then we get out for the time training section so just enjoying it and uh another beautiful day with no thunderstorms in Andorra for now foreign [Applause] it’s like a little bit better it still happened at the bottom after I stopped once yeah it’s like pretty high but I think it’s kind of what’s needed like raise the bar save our arms like someone’s squeaking as well I don’t know I think it’s more suspension like like might not be suspension but might be like just a bit of dust in there yeah but I can hear it like pretty loud like a bit of time a little bit not not eight but a little bit yeah even maybe like download that Telemetry log and then see but I still use heaps to travel with the bar raised so it should be good still all right well that’s first practice done and dusted um very dusty up there but yeah I fell not really on my Pace today like it was really hard to push I had a bit of like arm pump problems with my right arm um that’s my rear brake even though I’m an Aussie but yeah just like it was a little bit hard to get in the swing of things uh I’m gonna go walk it now real quick and just check and make sure I’m all on the right lines um but yeah it’s only first day of practice we’ve still got qualifying tomorrow and a semi-final and a final the next day so I’m not worried not stressed just need to find the right lines and uh thanks for tuning in leave
