Pictures to show terrain I plan to ride on. Some dirt too.
I want a rugged, lightweight gravel bike that I can use on the road too. Mainly fire roads, gravel (some larger gravel), and dirt trails. I don’t plan on doing mountain biking as far as jumps, rocks, stumps, etc. I’m hoping State Bicycles titanium will be good. Thoughts?
Never really been a cyclist so I don’t know anything about bikes, so sorry. Runner/swimmer.

Yup. Perfect use case for that bike
Titanium bikes ride awesome, and I haven’t heard bad things about State. What you’re showing is pretty chill terrain – as long as you have chunky enough tires, you’ll be fine. 38mm would likely get the job done, especially if you plan to ride a lot of pavement & want to keep it lightweight
I love mine! Ive ride it on pretty much all terrian from pavement to chunky gravel with no issue. I usually run 700×42 but have gotten 700×55 with no issue (clearance may be a problem in heavy mud). I got mine with the Monster Carbon Fork as well for more clearance and mounting options
the dumbest thing ive heard about state is the fact that you need to pay a lbs to build your bike or you warranty is void. Seems like a stupid hill to die on as building up a bike is not brain surgery and this shouldn’t be a requirement.
I love mine. Monster fork on mine— 700×50 Pirelli Cinturato M on front and back. It rips off-road. Great bike in general, but especially for the money.
Stewart mountain? Bham?
I’ve got a state all road (non titanium) and I’ll be honest, it’s a comfy af bike. Components are kinda meh, but it rides nice on the terrain you are talking
I’m loving mine!
Does the titanium version come with no name components?
That was the main thing that turned me off of state bikes.
