Has anyone here ever built a dedicated gravel fixie?
I found this Skream Ranger frameset that can roll up to 700c x 43mm tires.
It can also use a front flat mount disc brake.
Not 100% sure if i would use a fix/fix or fix/single speed yet.
Since it's pretty hilly where I currently live I was thinking a gear combination of maybe 40T – 16/20T.
Still unsure of that ratio for my use.
I've ridden three full years (including winter with studded tires) on a fixie a few years ago, so I know my basics of fixie riding.
THANKS IN ADVANCE EVERYONE!!! 💕

im intrigued…
Yai,
it even says “Fender ready” on their website. Could be an nice do it all commuter too!
Anybody got a tracklocross frameset for sale 53 to 55 cm super interested
I built up a state black label with 40s for gravel/ tracklocross and love it. Gravel lets you skid fat tires and running brakeless feels less dumb when i’m away from other people and traffic. I run 48/19 but it’s flat where i live, I would want something slightly spinnier if I had larger hills near me.

Here’s my skream with knobby 40s and a front disc brake. I love it! Just did a 40 mile gravel ride the other day on it.
As someone with a variety of bikes, honestly, single speed or fixed MTB or gravel bikes are kind of shit.
I have this frame set up for gravel/commuting with 48/19 on 38 mm tires and it’s a blast! One thing to keep in mind if you plan on running single speed, you can only mount a front brake. There’s no mounting point for either disc or rim brake in the rear. Not a big problem if fixed but on SS there’s no way to stop the rear wheel, except for a foot jam.
The other search term not mentioned is sscx (singlespeed cx)
Which was a thing.
Love my singlecross ( 2007 ish spesh tricross with cantis and a horizontal rear dropout).
I absolutely loved mine. It’s literally a fixed gear gravel bike. I was able to stuff a 45c AND a full fender on it and I still had room. No brake mount in the rear so keep that in mind if you wanna go single speed.
