Is this worth it? And is it a good started bike?

Good bike. My wife’s had one of these since new. Hers is like a 2008 though. Not worth $500 in today’s market. Maybe $150-200 if it’s rideable and needs nothing.
Either it is really low mileage or cleaned up well for sale. With the lack of wear on the chainrings, the reflectors, a nearly clear spoke protector I suspect low mileage. In my area it is an easy 300-400 USD possibly more.
A 48cm frame is suitable for someone under 5’1″, usually. Though each person has their own needs and preferences. Each bike can fit differently as well.
It is suitable for a first few triathlons.
