2 long days on the road travelling to London and the South Coast. We have some very close calls with cyclists, and encountered some horrendous weather

In this week’s episode, we nearly squash a cyclist. Might stick with the old coffee. And we drink coffee. So Rob and I are on our way to London. Where else? I never go to the south coast, Brighton. Working our way along the coast towards Eastborne. Never been to Eastborne before. So it should be a nice nice day tomorrow. We’re going to stop in London tonight at a lovely hotel. Yeah, back on the road early tomorrow morning and then hopefully have a nice bite to eat somewhere, be treated by the husband. Few beverages if I’m lucky. Hold on a minute. You said you weren’t drinking. Okay. You said no drink. One or two. Oh, or might not just Yeah, I might not have any. Who knows? Might stick with the old coffee. One or the other. No coffee. No, I’m not doing this. The weather is doom and gloom. We’ve got lots of rain, but that won’t stop us from having a nice time, will it, dear? No, darling. We’ve got our electric bikes. We’ve put them in in the back of the van. We got plenty of room. Um, and we’re just going to enjoy the weekend. The Detroit Spinners. It’s a shame produced by Stevie Wonder. [Music] Oh, where you going? There’s a lane goes round. What? What? What? What are you bipping at? I don’t think he was beeping at you. He was cuz he wanted to come over and because I didn’t let him beep at someone just because they not let you in. Just did. [Music] [Music] Oh, look at the rainbow. Beautiful. Wow. I think it’s reasonable to expect the cyclist to remain in the cycle lane, but for some unbeknown reason, that isn’t the case here. That was just back up there when we were going down. So funny. Honestly, when we were stopping at the Comrade. Absolutely. Oh, cyclists wonder why they get knocked off their bikes. This is a ridiculous move. Basically doing the Monopoly board, darling. Well, we’ve done Park Lane and we were near Mayfair and now we’re on old chem road. No, that’s double tree. This is nice in here. But you like it cold, don’t you? Yes. Nice. Oh, you know what? We didn’t do what? Milk. [Music] Yeah, beauty. So, good morning. We have just left the Hilton Cobb where we had a wonderful evening there. Surprisingly nice evening, actually. The hotel was much better than I thought it was going to be. Made a nice dinner there. Steak dinner. The steak was to die for. Although the the restaurant was a bit canteenesque, wasn’t it? This morning for breakfast it was uh it was lovely, wasn’t it? Yeah. But last night I think the lighting was a bit bright. It was good. So we have left the hotel. We are on the way down to just west of Brighton. We’re going to work our way across that south coast towards Eastborne which we have another hotel booked. We’ve been to Shorum and Brighton. We are just rolling through Rotting Dean. Look like the white cliffs of Dover there in front of us. Quite away from Dover. Oh wow. Beautiful. Pretty does that look? The sun’s coming out by the looks of it. Yeah, we might look out with the sun. We’ve had some rain and the sun is poking its head through. Wow, look at that. Oh Why does it do that? Wow, that looks nice, doesn’t it? I think this is it here. Oh, in one take two pool groves. Oh, do they put be lovely on a sunny day, wouldn’t it? Do they put your names out? Is our name out? Well, we booked plenty ahead of time. Williams Moley. Keep going. Baitley. I tell you what, if they put our names out, I’ll be very impressed. Ah, here we go. Hello there. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Welcome to Grant. Thank you. We have a booking under Yep. I’ve got you here. Thank you. For one night, wasn’t it? Just for one night. Okay, if you follow me, sir. No problem. This hallway forms part of the dining room and we were fortunate enough to sit here for Breakfast. [Music] Come for a quick beer in the Oh, might stick with the old coffee. [Music] Very very cold and rainy east. How you finding it, dear? It’s not too bad, is it? Not when you’re dressed for the occasion and like you. That’s true. Never used to. Let’s answer my question on bikes. Not pedaling either. That’s just a sign of the British summer, unfortunately. I’m guessing. Thought that was on today. Elvis Legacy. That’s on today. I’m sure it was. What is Well, if it’s been on, we’ve missed it. Could be excused to think this is bloody February in Eastborne, at the end of August. It’s not very late either, is it? No. Oh, it’s the weather, isn’t it? I suppose they can’t go home, can they? In case the sun comes back out again. Well, that’s definitely shut up and done. This rain is getting harder, darling. It is not nice. As it is probably of the year 2019, it would be rude not to give it a go. Saturday karaoke. Excellent. Excellent. What do you think to pub the year 2019, darling? [Music] How about you? The mad is nice. [Music] Check. [Music]
