I found these today in Arlington, Virginia – the Sprite was unused, and had original stickers on the wheels. The Super Course was well-used but well maintained, and had the original Brooks saddle and drop bar configuration in a cardboard box. I’d love to hear the hive mind’s thoughts on these models. I also picked up a 1980 Nishiki Sport 19L with the original receipt and owners’ manual at the same home. It was similar in condition to the Super Course. They belonged to an older couple who passed away and a family member was clearing out their home.
I only went out to pick up the Super Course – but came home with more than I expected.
I’m happy to get them back on the road.

Stop, I can only get so erect.

The Super Course looks like a ’75 or early ’76. Too bad about the seat/stem/bars change.
I’ve got a very late ’76 and it’s a great all-arounder. Has many, many miles on it and just keeps going. Every year or so I clean and repack the BB, hubs, and headset. I expect it to last forever.
