Hello everyone. I built this up in the spring and it’s been my main bike since. I bought the frame and most of the components on Marketplace in February. Added the wheels and swapped out the derailleurs… found some friction shifters at my local used bike shop. The handlebar really unlocked the comfort of this bike for me. (Simworks Getaround, highly recommend!). Those mid fork eyelets are screaming for a front rack so that’s what I’m on the hunt for now. Anyway, I’ve been a fan of this sub for a couple years now but haven’t posted anything so I thought I should contribute.

I never ever ever get tired of seeing the love for someone’s build eek through the words they post. I’ve acquired a few diamondbacks and it was the “it” frame when I was a kid doing back yard dirt jumps.
Do you happen to live in NYC? I just saw one of these come in to the bike kitchen I volunteer at this week and I love that smoky paint job!
