Just got back from cycling in Barcelona/Girona including a 161km gravel ride from Barcelona to Girona with 2800m elevation gain. It took us 12 hour moving time but we did it in one go!

My friend was on a 20” bifold (fnhon monsoon) and I am on a “Brompton” with the 12 speed rear hub with the 5th sprocket mod and 42T front chainring. I am also using a cheap £80 carbon fork with hydraulic brakes which were so useful. I don’t think this ride would have been possible in rim brakes due to the long descents and gravel. Also I ran ridenow tpu tubes with Schwalbe ones. So yeah I’m pretty much doing everything people say not to do and I had a great time.

Maybe G line would have been more suitable but you can’t beat the compactness of the 16” fold plus my bike weighs about 7.2kg!

  1. 👆🏻 get him! He is a imposter and a traitor!
This **not** a Brompton! Chinese crap! 😤

    >!Just kidding, OP i love your videos about weight weening about titanium bolts in c brakes!<

  2. Also, no punctures! Just lucky I guess but Spanish gravel is not flinty unlike UK stuff. My friend did get a puncture on his tubeless 42mm wide contis that he had to plug. We joked that wider and bigger wheels means more ground contact and higher % chance of punctures haha
