  1. Yes you did. I literally just did this myself a few weeks ago. Only other thing you need is a wrench to turn the lockring tool

  2. You’ll also need a 1″ socket wrench to actually turn the lockring tool, but assuming it’s a fairly standard/new bike that should be it. The socket wrench isn’t bike specific, so you may have one lying around if you work on cars.

  3. Yes and these should be about the best ones you can get, certainly enough for once in a while usage.

Or a long Adjustable wrench or vise will do it . The leverage from a socket handle isn’t quite the same as an 18″ crescent . It should be at least as long as the chain whip

You need a wrench to attach to the cassette tool to be able to turn it and if you want to put the cassette back on you will need a torque wrench that covers around 45-50nm.

You don’t actually need to remove the cassette from your wheel… You can just use a different cassette on the Kickr and leave the other one on the wheel…

Much quicker and easier to swap from indoor to outdoor when the wheel is ready to use…

But yes, I’d still recommend owning those tools.

  7. go to Ebay, you can find same tools for 1/3 of the price. It comes in package all together

This won’t be quite as nice as park tool stuff, but I bought this kit that’s only $20 more than those two parts alone and I’ve been very happy with it [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z3K1RHP](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z3K1RHP)

I was just going to buy parts as I needed but once I realized stuff like a park tool chain whip was $40 on it’s own I decided to go with a “cheap” kit like this, everything seems to be great quality for home use.

  9. I like the rockshox cassette tool that is 3/8 drive, assuming you have a ratchet.

These are the correct tools. Those prices are the same as the local bike shop and the local bike shop would very much appreciate your business.

  10. Also need 1 inch socket with wrench. For the budget route your stuff works. I like the cassette pliers (cp 1.2) better than chain whip. I also use the locking tool (fr 5.2h) that has a handle built-in so I don’t have look for a wrench, and I feel it gives better leverage.
