I’m a complete newbie to biking, and I’m interested in purchasing a Merida Silex 400 that I found for a reasonable price. However, there’s a slight issue: the seller apparently fell and replaced the tire.
He has kindly sent me photos of the front fork, and I’d like your opinion on whether it appears to be in good condition.

Don’t buy it. You can find another bike for sale that’s a good deal and not damaged
It all looks cosmetic to me. What are they asking for it price wise?
i may be against the general consensus but to me that doesnt look bad at all, if you go and inspect the frame and there is nothing worrisome about it, i would pull the trigger as long as you dont care about the cosmetic damage.
Carbon fork. I wouldnt buy it, if I didnt see the crash.
Have a trusted shop check it out; some shops offer mobile services.
Especially for a newbie, I probably won’t recommend it
