So I bought the bike a month ago and have ridden it for around 600km, the bike is awesome specially for a beginner like me, it feels responsive and stable, feels like I am flying but also feels safe while doing it. For the first 350km or more I rode it with the Bontrager R1 tires it came with and I felt like something was wrong the whole time, about two weeks ago I bought Continental GP 5000 tires and I was instantly impressed by how much better they are, not only are they smoother and faster, they also grip better, it made the bike even more enjoyable to ride and I have been having a blast, I also got some tpu inner tubes from conti. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the bike, not only does it look awesome and unique, it gets lots of looks since most people ride Rose bikes where I live, but it also rides amazing.

When spring comes I am thinking of getting some carbon wheels, maybe from Hunt or Scope since they seem to be cheaper but offer tons of performance.

PS: I know that on the second pic the bike should be turned around but I just stopped to take a picture of the church and wanted the bike in the pic and forgot to turn it around

My wife and I have ridden Trek’s for a long time. Since about 2017, when getting a new one, the first thing I do is replace their tires. We have had several road tires that bubbled. This being said, I find their carbon wheels (all levels) to be bullet proof.

Bontrager carbon wheels are very nice. I recommend that you not overlook that brand when you buy new wheels. I really don’t have a problem with the Bontrager tires. I rode one set for about 3000 miles before I replaced them with Conti 5000. I really didn’t notice much difference. Nice bike, by the way. I have a Gen 8 and love it.
