Good morning. It is and it is morning. It is Sunday, October 12th, and we just finished breakfast in our 900 plus year old lodgings. Um, again, it used to be a monastery, and then it was a convent, and then it’s been a lot of things over 900 years. So, we’re in the breakfast room. And like here’s the the walls are like, what is that? That’s like five feet thick, I think. And this is the breakfast room. I mean, it’s very cool. And we are going to go see the start of a bike race today. All right, we have made it to where the race is going to take off. So, the team buses are here. These are some of the uh some of the bikes for the arcade riders. So, I’m going to walk along the team buses. All right. I know y’all are not interested or as as into if you’re into it at all um cycling like I am. So, I will try to not have a ton of video. Sometimes I can’t help myself, but I will try to edit it if I if I take too many videos. the Astana team. Okay, there is the Uno X bus. Um, and the buses keep on going down. I think the riders are probably I don’t know. I was going to say they’re probably out warming up, but it looks like they’re um their bikes are all in front. So, maybe they’re still maybe they’re still getting ready in their buses. So, this is a local team uh a local French team. This is not a a world tour level race. Um, it’s a like a second category or something. I I don’t know exactly what the I don’t know exactly what the categories are, but anyway, very cool. And Decapalon, this is a French team. And these are the support cars. They um they have extra bikes in case riders bikes break down break down. Actually, it looks like these are actually the cyclist bikes because they’ve got numbers on them. Those don’t have numbers. Again, this is a local team and their bus is so little. It’s like more like an RV. Okay, there’s a few more buses coming. This is the Alpison bus. Yasper Philipsson is an Alpison rider. I love this. On the Alpison bus, you can see where they do their laundry. And this is the Inos bus um with Ben Turner is one of their riders. I think I put him on my fantasy team for this race. All right, they are starting with the tea presentation. This is a local French tea based in I guess it’s a country team. There’s all kinds of different I don’t know classifications. There’s continental team. Maybe it’s a continental team. I don’t know. Anyway, we’re starting the introduction. Okay. And while the Unibet rocket team is being introduced, the bells uh in the charter cathedral are ringing. Very cool. Okay. And they are introduced being introduced fast and furious. And I believe that’s Matteo Trenan. All right, we have a gele of cyclists here. And they’re introducing the UNO X team. All right. And this gentleman being interviewed is Arno Dear. Meanwhile, we have the Kofides team going by. [Music] Um anyway, this is his last this is his last race. Um he’s retiring, so he’s got his daughter on his bike. [Music] So, okay, this is um a tribute to Arnold Dear. It’s his last race and it’s what they do when cyclists retire. And this guy’s amazing. This announcer Christoff Leaport right here. Number one. This is so awesome. Kristoff Roport is right in front of me. I need to go to [Laughter] [Music] Oh my gosh, all these cyclists. Wow. And there he is. [Applause] [Applause] This is so cool. I love how they do that. Oops. Sorry about the finger. All right, this is fantastic. Closeups of all the riders and all the support cars. the race or they they’ve started. It’s about a kilometer or so of sort of procession and then the race actually starts. But these are the support cars. They have the extra um bikes in case one of their riders needs a bike. And I think that that’s about a wrap. [Music] Whoa. After a long day of driving, we have finally made it to our next destination. We left short after the start of the bike race. And now we’re in compare in Britany. It’s in the finished stair area of Britany. Okay, we’re going to have dinner and then probably just chill cuz I’m tired. And this is yet another pedestrian zone, but at least I don’t have to drive through it. Ooh. Oh, tacos. So, this is a very old old town in Britany. And you can see by the homes. We’ll check it out at some point in our stay here, but right now we’re headed headed for dinner.
