This is fine. One of my Bikes actually came like this. You still need to add your quick release though.

I think you’re OK as long as the other side is even. Usually there’s only ~4 threads visible, so this is normal, you just have a really thick dropout. It *could* be longer and it would be nice if it were, but I don’t know that this is necessarily wrong.

Is this an older bike? It’s unusual to see disc brakes without a through axle. Front or rear wheel ?
