So I have been waiting for today all week, was going to bike in the forests and eat lunch on a log. Did it. Snapped a picture. Satisfied.
Ten minuter later, BAM, attacked by a 50kg rottweiler. The dog belonged to a old lady (at least 80) that flew like a fkn glove after the dog. I got bit in the leg and the lady either got a dislocated hip or a broken hip. I had to take care of the dog while we waited for her husband, it tried to bite my hand and it attacked a passning car. I had to lift the lady inside their car and buckle her up cuz her husband was also 80+…
The bite was really shallow so it ain't that bad. Although im at the hospital waiting to get some shots.
Fun times…

Crazy story. Sadly sounds like too much dog for 80 year olds. Glad your injuries were minor, and you were good enough to stay to help the old lady, and take care of the dog. Lot’s of people would have rightfully bolted
I love dogs, but admit on remote rides where I hear the bark and turn an see a dog chasing, I get that ‘oh crap’ feeling; all you can really do is stay calm and keep riding. Luckily, it’s always just been dogs being playful in my situations
I happened on some campers a few weeks ago on Crown Land, they had a beautiful Cane Corso, because of the terrain though, I was only going a few KMs per hour, and that way it sauntered up to me with the tail going, I knew it just wanted to make friends
You’re a very kind person to help the lady who wins the dog that attacked you. I love dogs like children but if one ever comes after me, it’s gloves off.
Hope you recover quickly and that lady loses her dog.
