I got my as yet unused Decathlon Riverside 500 out of storage and took it for a ride.
The back brakes sound like they’re rubbing and the rear braking effort isn’t good. Video of the rubbing
The manual is for models without disc brakes, so how do I stop it rubbing and improve rear braking?

Make sure the wheel is all the way home in the dropouts by opening and closing the quick release with the bike on the ground, and make sure you have the right amount of tension on the QR when closed.
Failing that, center the rear brake caliper.
These are mechanical disk brakes so a light amount of rubbing is normal and actually necessary on one side.
Check that the wheel is correctly in place as someone recommended earlier.
If the bike is brand new, the brakes will need a bit of breaking in. Do a series of 10 second braking on a gentle hillside and you should start noticing an improvement in the braking power.
