I grew up in the Northeast and moved to the Midwest for a minute. Don’t wish that place upon yourself for all the gravel mileage in the world.
It has its beauty, fantastic skies mostly, but if you are used to one sort of horizon with hills and mountains and lakes (and/or oceans), the corn of the Midwest can be claustrophobic.
