My dad (76) is an avid cyclist and rides about 60 miles a week. He’s been doing it all on the same triathlon bike with frame shifters since 1986.
I was stoked to find the Miyata catalog he bought it from. It never crossed his mind to upgrade after almost 40 years.

“triathlon” you show this to someone training for a triathlon in this year and this person goes into a comma.
interesting choice of clothes, not wearing a cycling jersey but a shirt with cycling jersey miniatures instead 🙃
Hey I also have a 310.
Check this out if you haven’t already: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/1244843-road-test-bike-review-1985-miyata-310-a.html
Thank you for this! I have a 1986 miyata 912 just like this one, and I’ve never seen the catalog for it.
I’ve got an ‘88 912, and had an ‘88 510. These bikes ride so incredibly well, and track straight as an arrow. They’re fantastic bikes.
share that in r/Vintage_bicycles
Here’s a link to the whole thing [Miyata catalog](https://www.ragandbone.ca/PDFs/Miyata%20Catalogue%20PDFs/Miyata%20Catalogue%2086.pdf)
