After being finished biking along the Norwegian coast line then around Iceland we took a flight over to Edinburgh, Scotland where we continued our twinstatour towards Portugal. In part 3 you will see us biking through green landscapes, 200 meter Cliffs along the Irish West Coast and climbing steep hills in Wales.

we just arrived Edinburgh and this is our boxes we hired them in Iceland Reykjavik but one was stolen so we only had one box today and I found this one in a trash can sweeping padding it for to work so hopefully our bikes are okay we arrived in Edinburgh Scotland this is our sleeping room tonight are you cozy all right good night as you can see we are in Edinburgh Scotland so this is our planned route in Scotland so we are in Scotland Edinburgh we left the airport and now we are on our way to Glasgow where we need to do a little bit of bike fix and we follow this nice path along with a canal straight away feeling home since I met my new best friend the swans let’s see if they are as friendly as the Iceland wow I’m like he’s picking some blackberries having a little bit of Pit Stop before you get tired of biking looks like we have some options here it’s on Canal boats pretty cute here is the harbor for the little Canal boats this is pretty cool we just went in to Tamil along the canal never seen this before hey hey one more tunnel it’s a party tunnel I think some crazy stuff’s going on here in Scotland so the boat came from up there on the channel and then it stopped and it’s like a huge drop but then there is an elevator for the boat so they are changing place and they have their own little pool with Waters and now you will see this pink boat coming up on the orange boat is going down and switching the place I don’t know if you guys have seen this before but I haven’t foreign elevator and call it see now they’re changing and this is how it looks from the bottom it’s another orange boat is going in here and the pink one with continuous travel on the canal up there cool we are in Glasgow it’s great weather hey great weather navigation [Applause] we got a room and we done some laundry and this is how a room can look like laundry you have to dry it pack everything on the process good morning Glasgow Marielle it’s time to wake up and stop biking biking biking morning walk through Glasgow [Applause] okay visiting a museum in Glasgow waiting to get our bikes fixed and Marielle is looking at the Vikings in Scotland foreign do you think it’s ready to take me to Portugal thumbs up okay I trust this man he knows what he’s talking about our way leaving Glasgow we’re going towards Ireland foreign we just reached the west coast of Scotland and the ocean the first base camp in Scotland with our team and we are just by ocean it’s pretty windy but we find a really nice spot there’s anaki and we’re gonna have a dinner our morning ride along the ocean this is the little tantrum so far 95 of our road in Scotland being on bike paths pretty nice we are in a cute little town area very pretty so I’m a cute little small house of course with a Zone Golf Course front we are on the way to the ferry just gonna take us over to Ireland today Rick is working your way up [Music] we find a nice Camp spot first night in Ireland our own privately Shell Beach and there she is [Music] creepy art van first good morning Belfast this is the famous Titanic Museum we see in here it’s a bit of the time [Music] the Albert Memorial Club [Music] the baseball here in Belfast Irish flag we are in Ireland on our way to Dublin and we passed through this cute Target Dundalk pretty a bit rainy day today and we’re having breakfast it’s nine in the morning and we are skipping in Dublin because it’s so shitty weather and we’re not super Keen to go there anyway we are on the endless Rail Trail very straight so I’m thinking of a power nap and hope for the best abandoned railway station and not so abandoned sister on the railway Trail Town Castle in there Center it’s raining in the evening we find a bridge this is where we’re sleeping tonight under the bridge there’s anaki looking at the sword as always our chef hey don’t worry Castle it’s like we’re almost approaching the mountains here in Ireland this is exciting was a while ago so we were doing a few climbs in Iceland so this would be fun definitely worth the climb when you came up to the top and get rewarded with this beautiful view Clips or more iron so we met Tom today we’re here at this place thank you so much thank you last night we were here at Cliffs and more and the guys working here they were very nice to let us stay in their carport so I slept here last night it was amazing and well protected from rain and storm and we’re feeling fresh and good for a new day on the bikes and this is how it looks now in the morning no worries yet but it probably will come hey come one of the best things we did when we biked in Ireland was to do the Ring of Carrie we followed the coastline and it was beautiful with small towns along the way in beautiful beaches and very green scenery we were quite lucky with the weather and had Sun almost every day only in the start and in the end it was raining a little bit foreign [Music] still on the Ring of Carrie I don’t know what this looks like I’m Sweden Iceland combination we just got into sneem small little cute town here on the Ring of care Harry exactly [Music] coastline ring of cherry we’ve been having an awesome day beautiful weather foreign [Music] we are in a very pretty small little road today in the mountains and it’s very peaceful alive we are going towards cork [Music] okay okay Muriel is trying to pack a kitten down in her bag so we have a biking cat this one but I think it’s more interesting to jump down yeah experience the back roads here in Ireland and I think this was one of our favorite roads some beautiful houses in Cork foreign [Music] today we had a very nice day and this is where we’re staying tonight a nice little place in the forest on a few Birds this company foreign we’ve been taking our base camp down as you can see it’s a bit of breakfast time over here for my sister yeah and soon we will start rolling Hit the Road Again Last Day in Ireland so when our annika’s best skills in life is to find four clevers and now she finally did I’ve been so stressed out because I haven’t found any for Clover in Ireland but now I have two one for Maria and one for me so that’s why we can leave Ireland tonight finally going under this cute little castle today we’re gonna like to follow one more nice bike lane for at least 20 kilometers to start with and then we’ll see finally I got to see a castle today’s session plastic bags in the sandals not often you see both of us but here we are on the way to the ferry ciao we are getting on the ferry it’s whereas Wales with Messi’s cool people we live in Ireland last night we met the Super Guy Brian on the ferry from Ireland to Wales to Pembroke and now we are leaving and this is really nice the castle guess where we are our second Castle in Wales in like 30 minutes feels like we can see the whole whales from up here in ways perfect guidelines where you going Sinclair’s pop Kirk Farm or all other destinations so I guess we’re going to all other destinations hey when people ask us what are we eating this is how it can look so we’ve been in shopping a lot of carbs a lot of sugar not too healthy we just had a 400 meter elevation climb here in Wales but it’s my birth is beautiful and up in the sky it’s red kite foreign so beautiful here it’s almost like being back in the prairie in America or a camera or somewhere this is where we’re sleeping tonight and I just got stung by two bees I don’t know if I put it on their home my bicycle so I just moved it Frosty morning it’s two degrees looks very beautiful but it’s cold after a few beautiful cold and hilly days in Wales it was time for us to say goodbye and head towards England 11th of October and we are approaching England right so here we are in Bristol with these amazing guys and they just helped me now to change my brake pads it’s been a lot of hills and waves and now I think I’m good to go huh yeah yeah we’ll get some thumbs up and thank you we will thank you guys going through a cute small typical English town with all the houses made of stone a pretty cathedral in Salisbury oh we are catching the ferry over to France to Kane from quarter month England we have enough of the crazy traffic here in England so now we want some sun and with quiet roads we are waiting for the ferry over to France and we met this guy Gerald he’s awesome and we gonna probably stay with him tomorrow and he also teaching us everything about France and where to bike and where to not pressure okay here’s where we sleep tonight on the ferry to France and Marielle is enjoying herself here we are on the ferry to France and we didn’t want to do the English post anymore because he was too busy with traffic two less bike paths and just very very mentally challenging being on those roads so we are taking the ferry over to France and we will continue our twin statue there hey so see you on the other side we are now by 4864 kilometer on our Twin Star tour since we started up in northern part or Norway next up for us is France

  1. Great tour report, ladies. I'm delighted to see you visited my native country. I'm Irish by birth and Swiss by choice. I have lived in Switzerland for over three decades, but when I grew up in Ireland I cycle toured all over the British Isles. Although the gear we had in those days was not as good as you have now – no smart phones of gpx navigation etc….
