This bike caught my eye , it costs $1,049CAD (or $750 USD) . I’d like it to be my next bike purchase, is it worth it?
I’m looking for a bike not everyone in my city has (a government town that likes their Cannondales, Treks and Specialized galore) and in a bright colour because I really like colour. And I would like to go fast.
I also already have a beater bike for leaving around locked up in sketchy places downtown.

  1. i have this bike! it’s great. I did convert to 700c wheels because I’m very tall and ride an XL. tons of tire clearance in the front (50mm+), not as much in the rear (~44mm). fun to ride and durable steel frame. have thought about upgrading to carbon fork to drop weight and increase performance.

  2. This bike is not fast but if you throw on a set of carbon wheels it’ll be faster, no need for carbon fork unless you want more comfort on unmaintained roads/gravel.

  3. I have a 2018 Kona Dew DL. It’s a bit heavy but not too bad. It’s comfortable, easy to maintain, and handles a good variety of terrain. I think it’s a pretty decent value for an all around bike. The Dr. Dew is steel though so might be a big weight difference. I also have a Kona Rove. I think they make pretty good bikes for the money

  4. I have been doing couple of over 70km rides and a lot of over 20km rides with Kona dr dew and I have to say I miss that bike regularly. Very decent and comfortable ride.
