Xbikers! Thanks for the inspiration

After my runabout got nicked in August I turned to xbikes for inspiration. Peugeot Black Mamba fits the bill – nice colours, 90s mtb with Reynolds 531. Managed to find one on eBay in good nick. Replaced tyres, pedals, seatpost, saddle and added mudguards, everything else original.

Spent far too much on bits and pieces, classic xbiking experiences such as my first choice of tyres not having enough clearance, mutiple seatposts returned due to weird sizing (eventually solved / botched with a bit of internal duct tape. Many rust patches sanded down then nail polish shades matched for badly-applied touching up. Overall actually probably more fun than speccing my expensive gravel bike brand new a few years ago.

Thanks to everyone on this Reddit for the inspiration and advice… but does anyone have any tips on how STOP checking eBay for good second hand targets? I thought this was one bike but it seems like I'm developing a bit of a habit….
