Im a runner and looking for first road bike (15-40km rides at most few times a week) for training.
Any opinions / thoughts / recommendations are greatly appreciated as I dont know much about bicyles and prices!

Avanti Giro Carnonio (probably 2005)
– carbon fibre parts in frame
– shimano 105 throughout
– $280 aud (but can go down to $240)

Very similar bikes, Avanti has bits of rust where it must have been kept outside. Giant looks better overall and is a well respected frame and groupset.
