Since my previous post, I wanted to share some photos of my 70-hour build and pack session (over several days) of the Smallest Bike Pump Project x 250 (Featherforged Nanotap) and my mild descent into madness
My usual <1 order per month on etsy turned into x250 in 12 hours and I was not prepared for the usual 4-5 day turn around time.
*In my photos, I have bright green posterboard as my work area. I use this to see the parts better, protect my table, and have interesting build photos.
Very rough timeline:
Unpacking parts and organizing: 2 hours
Polishing handles: 8.5 hours
Piston o-ring, front cap and rear cap install: 2 hours
Piston prep: 4 hours
Part cleanup and magnet install: 12.5 hours
Pin install: 8.5 hours
Body polish: 8 hours
Final polish: 4 hours
Valve rubber punch: 20 min
Install: presta o-ring, cap o-ring, valve: 4.5 hours
Lube and thread lock rear cap: 6.25 hours
Test: 4 hours
Fold manual, packing slip, pack, add label, final pump clean: 8.25 hours
Redbull final count: 400 oz Gas station Jerky: 12 lbs
Conclusion: I was able deliver (mostly) on time and then I camped for 2 days in the colorado mountains to deal with the trauma.
Thanks to everyone that supported my project

What a nice story.
I’ve gotta get one of these. So cool!
Hats off fellow wilderness therapy participant.
Nice! How long to pump a 32c tire to 3-4 bar?
Looks nice and I wish you luck.
For me personally, I’ll never go back to tiny hand pumps, they are absolutely horrible. On several occasions I got blisters on my hand from pumping my road tires to 7 bar using a Lezyne mini pump. There as no end to it because of the tiny volume, and the pump also got crazy hot.
For bike touring I upgraded to a Road Morph G, the larger size makes it infinitely more easy to pump my tires, and way faster. I’ll recommend it to any bike tourer: do yourself a favor and get a decent size pump. For one day trips I I use a CO cannister, also much easier, and no risk of blisters.
I don’t mean to demean your project but this is a bike touring forum and we have bike touring needs that go beyond normal cyclists needs.
I’m impressed.

That’s just shy of 12L, holy crap dude, I hope your heart is ok. Take care of yourself.
Cool project though, you’re a freaking machine.
