  1. Not to take the piss, but have you tried using an Allen key?

Might have more chance with a socket and breaker bar

Key side is propably fused with bearing as bolt rotates with chainstays, get something that supports chainstay without touching bearing outer race and hit only the bolt on the other side harder

  3. It’s probably misaligned with all the flopping around you’ve done with the chain stay. Put the bolt back in a couple threads and try to line it up and then tap it out with a rubber mallet.

It’s an alloy pivot axle on a steel bearing race so you are looking at galvanic corrosion. The axle is likely needing replaced.

A bearing press will remove it.

If you don’t have one you need to sit the Allen key side on a brace like this :

And then put a socket on the axle and hammer it out.

It will remove it but you will almost certainly need a new pivot axle.

  5. I have the same issue with my Devinci Troy. Thought about sending it back to them and see if they can remove it. I’m afraid I’m going to cause damage. Let us know what you did when you get it out please.

Thread a long 8mm bolt in the non drive side (opposite the Allen head), and whack that (sacrificial) bolt with a metal hammer.

That way you don’t fuck up the threads or the alloy pivot pin, and the shock from the metal hammer breaks the corrosion.

  7. You could DIY a press to get that out. Get a long bolt that will fit through the frame, and long enough to go through a socket that is the same or slightly smaller diameter. You may need to use two sockets (the second one could be smaller). Basically would look like Nut > Washer (x2?)> Frame/pivot> Socket>Washers>nut, and then add the second socket once the axle is mobile.

Or just find a long bolt that threads into really far, and hammer the bolt through.

Contact Transition first IMO, those guys are awesome, check make sure there isn’t a preload or something silly on it stopping it from moving.
