The water fountains is natural spring water. We are the second country in Europe with the most mineral and spring water resources so especially in the mountains and the west you can find them everywhere.

Nate, we have a ton of natural spring stops off roads in the USA. I'm pretty sure there are maps of them. Usually the locals only use them to fill up because most folks don't know/care to get fresh clean spring water for free off the side of a road.

You can camp, with no problems in this region. People there are usually very nice and the have "water fountain" everywhere. So no worries 👍
