I am currently riding a 2022 marlin 7 and I want to upgrade to a full-suspension bike for trail riding. As a high schooler with some cash saved up, I came across a lightly used 2023 YT Jeffsy Core 2 with a few cosmetic damages and it being sold for $1,600. Is this a good deal?

Depends on if the damage is really just cosmetic or not. I wouldn’t worry about scratched paint from a bike rack, but if the marks look like it’s from wrecking, then I’d pass.
Another thing to consider when saving money buying a used bike is all the deferred maintenance. If that bike is 2 years old, it may need a new chain/cassette, tires, and is probably due for a suspension service soon.
With all that in mind, you could go check it out and be prepared to negotiate on the price.
