Just got my first gravelbike after riding hardtail Mountainbikes my whole life.
Its a Rose Backroad AL 2023 GRX 810 1×11. Got it used, in great condition I think, for 1500β¬.
I love how fast it is, but compared to MTBs its definitely less stable.
The frame height is 53cm and I am only 170cm. My height is at the low end of the recommendation for this frame height but I think it felt most comfortable, was it the right choice?
I tried 51 and 49cm frame heights and 53cm just felt the best for me. Perfect Mix of comfortability and still being fast.
Do you guys have recommendations for Tools I should buy and maybe any tutorials on how to properly maintain this thing? I never maitained my old bikes but as this bike was so expensive i want to put utmost care into it
Im from Germany (Europe) and id like to get into bikepacking too, you know any way to find bikepackers who would take me with them?

Congrats!
Beautiful job OP. It looks like new π«Άπ»ππ»βπ»
I have literally the same bike, same color and gear. It’s a fantastic bike, there’s a bunch of ways you can set it up for backpacking. I came from MTB/enduro world and it took me a few rides to get used to narrower handlebars, but now riding this bike is second nature (maybe that’s what you mean by “less stable”, because I wouldn’t call this bike unstable).
You’ll have loads of fun, good luck!
Awesome bike, on gravel my thought is a longer top tube / front center is better , run a shorter stem if needed. This helps with toe overlap when running gravel tires , and I feel like it adds some stability . I think you will be very happy with it, ride the wheels off of it.
Cool bike π§Ώπ§Ώ
