Hey everyone,
I’m currently looking to buy my first gravel bike and came across this Cannondale Topstone Apex 1 (2024). I’d love to get your thoughts on it.

It’s completely stock, no upgrades except for the clipless pedals.
Here’s a quick rundown of the specs:
- Frame: SmartForm C2 Aluminum
- Fork: Full carbon
- Groupset: SRAM Apex XPLR 1×12
- Brakes: SRAM Apex hydraulic disc brakes
- Wheels: WTB ST i23 TCS (700c)
- Tire clearance: up to 45 mm
- Weight: around 10 kg
The seller is asking €1000.
Condition according to the ad: well-maintained, lightly used, no crashes.
I mostly ride on paved roads but would like to explore gravel and forest trails from time to time, and maybe do some longer tours.
I’d really appreciate your thoughts on:
- Do you think €1000 is a fair price for a 2024 Topstone Apex 1 in this condition?
- Would it make more sense to wait a bit and buy something like the new Canyon Endurace Allroad for roughly the same price (with similar components) but brand new?
Thanks a lot for any advice or experience you can share!

Yes – that’s a good price.
