  1. Don’t push the bike back down with your legs. Keep everything compressed until you fall down.

  2. You only need 1 thing to help. Something to hop over. Make a little diy jump bar. If you don’t have a target to get over you’ll hit plateaus

With your height you will be able to hit some monster hops if you keep practicing.

    Strength and practice 👍

Get some boxes. You can stack them up and if you hit it or case it nothing really happens you just crush the boxes.

  5. Pull up higher, jump higher, and tuck more. I’ve posted some slow-mo hops for reference

Jump from the first line to the next one.dont push down on the bike. Practice, practice. Get stuff to hop over or better yet hop on

Yeah it sounds cliche but just make a high hop with a couple of 2×4’s a screw per inch starting at 18 inches upto 36 to 42 ish inches then place a bamboo cane and dial in your bunny hops

plus I’ve found if you lift your front wheel when it is at same distance from the hight of the object that helps the timing of things but really repetition is key to consistency because if your not practicing something why would you expect to be able to do it with skill

+1 for experimenting with bar height before considering a new frame. Just use spacers or even flip your stem. Lower will give you more leverage and help level out the loopiness of such a short chainstay.

Form tips I wish people gave me forever ago: Imagine standing on your toes and trying to dunk – you’re not getting much height. So drop your heels on the preload, and then rock on the balls of your feet and point your toes as you hop, then focus on leveling your feet out when you tuck Also, hinge at the hips, stick your butt out and try to keep your spine straight and shoulders back.

That said, you already got a good hop, well done!

Get low tuck knees spring up / jump ,when you’re fully extended and also in a manual position tuck ur legs and push forward

  10. You need to jump while cranking.

Crank and get front end up, hopping off the the highest crank pedal.

Pulling front end up as high as you can into air.

Then tuck and suck the back end up to meet the front end height while in air.

Hold tuck for as long as you can.

    Good luck.

Growing up li got better and better every fall when all the leaf bags were out in the neighborhood.

Do a crank pedal pull back hop. It feel weird at first because your ued to pedal being level.

Old trash cans were my go to growing up insufficiently financed lol just lay them over and keep jumping until you clear it with ease, then once you get a good height you can go for the standing can. Be mentally prepared to eat shit
