[Applause] I’m trying to look and see if I can see that finger but whatever happens to Y and whatever has happened we know she ain’t going to give up out there she’s going to give it everything yeah a look of concern on the coach’s face you have to say and we don’t know what happened we expect y picked up some sort of finger injury just to explain in case you didn’t catch that boulder around there a bit of a Grimace after Boulder too and we don’t know at what point we don’t have any more information from you uh for you but what y needs to do if she wants to take the top spot is hold 72 points and you can see that there you can see just how high she’s got these women have given her a run for her money because they’ve not handed it to her by any means she’s going to have to fight if she wants a second Olympic medal and she wants gold she’s going to have to have the climb of her life that was such a great performance from Jesse but now all eyes on y yeah so she’s underway now finger she won’t show any pain if she’s feeling it she’s a competitor she understands you need to keep these things in Fight Hard Out On The Wall out with the right hand she’s climbing quickly at the moment coming into this you know she’s she is the greatest athlete of all time and in our Sport and arguably across sport if you look at certain statistics and she said on social that she is another step closer and she just left it there she didn’t see anything else recently there’s been some interviews with her that have come out unfiltered interviews and it’s great to get a bit more insight into someone who doesn’t tend to be that open she doesn’t do that that much media and you know she done so much for our sport she’s really passionate she really cares about the progress of it too and to be as good as she is and to do as much as she does for the positive progression of the sport it’s just a testament to who she is as a human being not just an athlete so she’s into this ShakeOut position no sign of this finger injury yet Brooke talking there to Jesse about the route itself remember Brook guaranteed a silver medal at least here again you’re looking down at that skin he’s chalking up the skin her fingers since she looks right towards the Traverse she goes all the way from the left hand side of the wall all the way to the right with that 30 point score beckons yeah taking a longer pause there than we’re used to seeing y take but that doesn’t suggest very much you know the enormity of this pressure and this moment for her is impossible to describe and she’s going to be using everything that she can pulling on the breadth of experience you know all of those medals she’s got to her name to compose herself and focus as she moves through this climb yeah she’s not 100% Yan yet from what I can see she’s maybe just having to work a little harder yeah but you can’t see much in the way of her having to struggle yet that’s for sure you know her arms are straight her body movements are smooth she’s looking relaxed her head’s not looking around her shoulders are nice and low she does look pretty calm and collected to me all right well she’s into the next scoring place now three points per hole and this has moved straight up into fifth place creeping towards the medals up with the right hand little bit of an adjustment and then bumps into this left side po high heel and another chance to chalk up have a shake we talk about the pressure piled on y more pressure comes from herself than she feels from anyone else and she has been at the top of the sport for what feels like forever and she’s only 25 years old and I think it’s really impressive for someone to dominate for so long and she said that’s what inspires her seeing athletes stay at the top of their game for so long coach looking a lot more convinced and a lot happier and I think he’ll have been nervous about seeing what state she was in how she was climbing where her flow was but she’s looking flowy to me yeah she is she’s guaranteed a medal now so that’s bronze for yya she won’t be satisfied with that though she also doesn’t know dropping down as well to rest you say she won’t be satisfied she’s got no idea that she’s got a medal right now and you know she’s not here for a bronze medal she’s not here for a silver medal she said herself she’s here for a gold medal she wants a second one and yes she’s dropping down not something we see y do but she is looking move as she moves through the Section and I think we could see a great display from y on this route and she didn’t get to show her best self in Boulder but she looked like she was struggling with that clip there didn’t she yeah she did well that’s silver so she’s guaranteed silver now just bronze gold to come there is that first place move she gets that hand she does it oh it’s not it it’s not she didn’t secure it she reaches for the clip and now she gets it she shifts her away brings her foot up the crowd are going wild I don’t think she’ll quite know she’ll want to finish this round on the top Brook rabitu cheering and screaming she knows now she’s got a silver medal can Yan make the dream happen and finish this round with a top I don’t think anyone really cares because she is the gold medalist she’s done it again despite everything she’s faced Yan gambra is your gold medalist yeah Yan will take Victory here Brooks celebrating with her is guaranteed that silver medal now we know our finals and Y look at that emotion as she comes down she had to dig so so deep I think deeper than we know out there on the wall and another goal that’s the second time she is a two-time Olympic champion she isn’t the best because it’s given to her she works so hard she fights so hard she had to push to come back after Tokyo you know that dip that she felt she didn’t know she’d everever want to climb again she didn’t know she ever could because it’s the enormity of winning the Tokyo games but she is now a two-time Olympic gold medalist no one else in our sport can say that Yan G BR soak it in hi I’m Ellie Simmons subscribe to euros sport on YouTube to catch the very best of the action from the Paris 2024 1. Eurosport, please do better when it comes to shooting these videos, we cannot see the holds and appreciate the difficulty of the climb, when you show us the other competitor or coaches we miss sections of the climb, such a wide angle takes a lot off the opportunity to truly appreciate how she links the sections. I am pleased to see more appreciation and coverage for the sport but I really think you can do better filming. God bless

  2. Brooke nodding her head "Yes, Janja, you did it", clapping her hands and smiling. That's why climbing is one of the best sports and here's hoping it stays that way as it becomes more and more popular, which it certainly should, because it's awesome. Janja is something else. A force of nature.

Спокойно и красиво руки подняла поблагодарила всех воздушным поцелуем и ушла как королева 🎉

  4. I think she was a bit disappointed she couldn't make the top but she was still extremely happy she got the gold. Bravo Janja!

  5. janja was genuinely disappointed when she fell, wanted to complete the whole circuit – you can tell she didnt even realise she won the Gold until she saw others reacting.
and i love how pure this sport is – the athletes know how difficult the climb was and when someone else does it, true appreciation
