I Try an FMB Slopestyle event again after almost a Decade!

I found one of Europe’s best hidden MTB festivals in Slovenia 🇸🇮 — Ljubljana MTB Weekend with insane big air, a night pumptrack race, and my first FMB slopestyle in 9 years! This event blew my mind — pure mountain bike energy, unreal trails, and a crowd that loves two wheels.

After 9 years away from the FMB slopestyle circuit, I finally dropped in again… and it felt unreal! 😱 Massive jumps, perfect dirt, and a crowd that went wild for every trick. The local riders here are insanely talented — this festival deserves way more recognition in the global MTB community.

If you love slopestyle, pumptrack, freeride, or just the vibe of grassroots mountain bike events, you’ve got to check this one out. Slovenia is seriously becoming a hidden gem for mountain biking — world-class trails, epic terrain, and the friendliest riders I’ve ever met.

[Music] Welcome to Slovenia, everyone. We’re here at Bike Park Ljubljana. It’s super sick. We’re here for the Ljubljana MTV weekend bike festival. It’s Friday. I arrived this morning and I’ve already been treated to some amazing laps with some epic locals. Uh here’s my favorite lap from there. It’s like a flowy jump track called Banana Trails. That’s it. Oh, it’s the right. Oh. Oh, couple dark. Oh, no. And there from Nick. Yeah, boys. That is so good. But yeah, love Slovenia so far. Everyone’s super friendly. And look, as you can see behind me, we’ve got a big air competition tomorrow. Hopefully a bit of SMB. It’s like a mini crank work Slovenia style. But right now, it’s pump track qualifying. It’s just dumped with rain. We’ve had thunder and lightning, so the track is treacherous to say the least, all on slick tires. So, it’s going to be pretty funny. It’s going to be interesting. I thought, why not race? I’m going to try and do every event here and have a good time here in Slovenia. So, let’s go down and give pump track a go. Heat. Heat. [Music] Well, there we go. Third place I ended up. I think I couldn’t have hoped for much better than that. These boys were super fast. Good job, boys. And cheers. Good racing. Good day for the team. Good day for the team. More fun coming tomorrow. [Music] So, I’ve just arrived in Slovenia to Ljubljana for the bike festival this weekend, but we had to swing by first of all the T campers factory. They’re a partner of our AON Racing team. I’ve been spending the last week in one of these amazing campers in Leger, riding bikes every day and uh sleeping in it, and it’s really cool to come see how they take just a plain old Peugeot van. It goes through the whole factory and then comes out the other side as one of these amazing campers. It’s like a incredible facility. It looks more like they should be making airplanes or rockets or something in here. Like it’s perfectly clean, super high-tech, and the quality of everything is incredible. It’s really cool to see. Great start to my uh Slovenia trip as well. And uh it’s FnB day. We’ve had a pretty cool morning already. Was super sick to go see how everything’s made there. Now we’re here for some action-packed FMB some boys are throwing down. And then later we got the big line. Oh, here comes someone. Nice. Just two jumps. Pretty basic course, but looks super fun. And then yeah, later this evening we’ve got the big line down there. It’s going to be a good day. [Applause] Yeah. Oh. Woohoo. Oh, no way. [Music] [Applause] Make back. [Applause] [Applause] [Music] Oh no. [Music] [Applause] position. Okay. Well, that was good fun. The level is definitely way higher than the last contest I did. So, I don’t actually know where I ended up, but I’m happy enough with my run. Got a flip whip clean and hike to swap bikes. Now, back onto the Sega for some big air. Excited for some big air. Quite scary to do a first run in front of all these people, but Oh, what an awesome show. People loving it out there. [Music] [Applause] [Music] All right. Superman train. Yes, dog. The big air was awesome. ended up winning best trick actually with I’m not sure either a Superman or the flip can at the end there. But yeah, awesome to ride with all those guys. Was super fun. Epic to be doing my first contest again for a while. Uh yeah, it felt good to be back out there. Maybe some more coming in the future. But just in general, what an amazing weekend.
