during World War II General Motors had a division that manufactured a tiny but terrifying weapon it was called The fp45 Liberator and it was a cheap singleshot pistol the idea drop them into enemy territory from aircraft that way resistance Fighters could take out one soldier that steal a real weapon but after producing about 1 million of these tiny pistols very few were actually ever used on the battlefield

So if that's true did anyone bother to pick them up after that or clean it the area ❓❓❓
Spare no expense💸
what a waste of money
WW2 resistance groups and fighters did some amazing things. Definitely recommend going down the rabbit hole of all the different heroic groups and people.
enemy soldiers were likely accompanied with other enemy soldiers, so firing a single shot wasn't likely to be beneficial.
if the shooter missed, he was out of rounds, outnumbered, and outgunned.
even if he hit his mark, the other enemy soldier was likely going to open up and kill the resistance fighter.
I wouldn't try to do anything with those single shot guns unless I'd do the same thing with a knife. At least a knife could be reused, and wouldn't draw attention with a loud "bang"
I feel like that couldve easily backfired
What if Germans stole those weapons?
The guy got some really
horriblegood ideas when he picked up that MG42That guy’s face when he got his hands on an MG-42.
Produced so much, used so less!
Why would a soldier steal weapon
Isn’t that the point? They’re not meant to be used on the battlefield
Irl gun game😭🙏
real life floor loot
💥
Why only one shot???
Noone really picked it up because they thought it was a trash secondary Luggar.
BRO SO YOURE TELLING ME THAT THAT CAN GO FOR MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLARS DUDE I HAVE 2 IN MY LIVONG ROOM IMA SELL THEM
Look at his face how happy he was getting a new weapon…he must be an american
“This cheap WW2 gun had a deadly purpose”
Uh, yeah…. It’s a gun I think that’s its obvious purpose lol.
I thought it was Studebaker and I heard these prob shot more gemans than 1911's. Not a battlefield weapon but fine for assassinations.
GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hiHiso funny I liked and subbedThis pistol is very cheap. It cost about $2.40 for one. Unfortunately, as the narrator said, it's use was very small. After the war, many were melted down or thrown into the sea. Plus, it fires one round at a time using .45
That’s probably how the uzi was made 😮
I think it was an excellent idea
Also nicknamed the cotton gun due to is price being the same as cotton at the time
“Very few were actually used”
Actually none were lmao
i don't understand how the liberator was terrifying weapon, it only shot 1 .45 acp round at a time and had no rifling and a very short barrel so it was inaccurate as could be
Imagine years later a kid finds one of those 💀
is a banned a two gun
horriblewow I didn’t know that would happencool(C)
99+ missed calls from zack d. films
It was a pretty good gun. Heck, even the Mando had one
