For context im on a 2026 kink whip xl (ive mostly always rode a kink frame with cinema/shadow parts)

It has coaster and cassete in one
(Switchable)
And id reliable
I have it for now 3 years and never greased it ( i prolly should)
the optimized free coaster has done me and many of my friends very good for a very long time
I’ve been enjoying my odyssey clutch v2. Pretty affordable and once I figured out the slack havibg a blast on it
Get a planetary freecoaster. Don’t matter the company
Shadow Optimized was my first, and as far as freecoasters, it was fine. Couldn’t handle the slack though. Was generously gifted what I refer to as a “cheatcoaster” (planetary freecoaster, BSD Revolution specifically) and like it so much better.
I’d go with the odyssey clutch v2. You can find it around the same price. And it’s a very reliable FC. Been on mine 2 years without a failure
