Originally bought a Madone SL 7 Gen 7 last year when the Gen 8 came out. Put around 12,000 miles on it over the following year, and had been slowly upgrading things when they needed replacing: RSL saddle, RSL 62 wheels, dura ace 92xx (full group set minus the front derailleur). The last thing on my hunt was the SLR frame.
FINALLY found a guy willing to part with just the frame (he was selling essentially the full bike minus the wheels / saddle). No hesitation hopping in the car and driving 11 hours to pick it up! Wasted no time once I got back home and had the bike built by the next morning 😅.
The accent color on the bike is gold (lettering, front emblem, etc), so also threw on gold supacaz bottle cages, Connex gold chain, and gold titanium bolts (betterbolts).
Bike is a rocket!
