    I’ve had decent luck deducting the make/year with google. Most brands have specific letters that can be determined with their first few characters

  2. The vast majority of bikes out there in the wild are low to mid tier completes. They don’t (or rarely) come with “catalog” grade parts. Sometimes the brand logo is tamped on the gusset giving you a general idea what you’re looking at.

    If it has welded on brake mounts it’s probably nothing special, at best it’ll be front triangle CroMo.

  3. You can’t, rarely do frame serials mean anything unless you already know the bmx brand name unfortunately. There isn’t some kind of data base as they’re literally just manufacturing codes from Taiwan or china
