I still have my 1997 Kona Fire Mountain, not much of it is original though.

That era of Kikapu and King Kikapus were not designed for durability or anything like that. I remember when the Kings were made with Ultralight tubing and they were lasting about a year and people were babying them. The other tubings didn’t do so well, either.
