
was recently in a crash that made my stem loosen off the steerer tube, but when I cleaned up my headset at home I noticed the two sides of the stem were already getting very close to one another (almost touching here at the top with 5Nm) Is this a sign to get a new stem? I remember the gap being much larger before the crash, something like the bottom screw
also ignore the excessive bolt length, these are aftermarket bolts

That’s weird, start by removing the stem and inspect everything including the steerer tube, something is probably wrong here.
