Edit: No longer swapping, just looking for some feedback on my bike.

Hi, everyone. I'd like help identifying my bike and seeing if the general Reddit community thinks this is a good trade. I recently purchased a bike in the beginning of the summer and it ended up being too big – not only was it listed wrong, but I was unable to test ride it on anything other than a trainer – I didn't get the real feel (I won't be doing that again). However, I thought it was a great bike which overpowered my dubiousness on the fit and I bought it anyway.

I rode it a few times, and it's just too damn big. Turns out, I was right. What I thought was a 52cm is 56cm! Now, I'm trying to sell the bike, I think it's valuable.

I believe I have a circa 97 Bianchi Alloro (steel) with Athena groupset, everything else is Campagnolo. There's a few nicks on the frame but the original decals are there which is why I'm saying 97. I'm asking for $900, but am willing to go down to $700. All photos except the last one are the Alloro. I've tried endlessly to search for a serial number, but had no luck.

I found someone on marketplace listing a Bianchi Veloce (steel) 53cm, carbon fork, and Campagnolo Veloce groupset, and alloy tires, selling it for $450. It's in great condition. It should fit, and it actually looks smaller. I think this price is accurate, but I don't know. The last photo is the Veloce.

Edit: He's not trading.

I really don't want to get rid of my bike, but I have no choice. Do you think this is a good swap if I accept a payout too? Is one of us asking too high or too low?

Personally, I like the retro look of the Alloro more but in terms of the modern designs the Veloce is pretty cool. I cycle anywhere from 20-100 miles, and would be using this for climbing. I'm on Strava and enjoy competing with myself for fun, but that's it. Sometimes I participate in local races or routes, but nothing professional.

He didn't say yes. I'm also just trying to gauge the value of my bike. Thank you!
