Hi everyone.
I’m a relative newbie that lives at the bottom of a decent set of trails. I usually run but am keen to get into mountain biking.
I bought one of these brand new (US1300 incl. tax from a store) on a whim and am hoping someone can idiot check me that I didn’t get ripped off too bad, and this is decent enough to get me going in the sport? Will be mostly doing trail riding, probably twice a week. I’m 6’4 220 and went with XL.
I still haven’t picked it up so is still refundable.
Cheers!

Yeah man that bike will rule
6’4″ I might have gone with XXL, but it’ll probably be fine. The bike will feel a little snappier and as long as you’re not feeling cramped you should be fine.
Just getting into riding this will be a sick bike, price looks good. Dial it up!
Bang for the buck it looks like a really good deal. Shit you can barely get a decent hardtail for $1300 these days. Nothing really jumps out to me as bad in the specs just ok parts. The rear shock is the only suspect part to me but that is only because I know nothing about xfusion shocks.
So long as you can afford it, the only way it’ll be a poor financial decision is if you don’t ride it enough.
Get out & have some fun
Not only did you not get ripped off that’s a pretty reasonable deal
If you are a quick learner and advance quickly, you might tear through some of the components but definitely a great starter bike at a good price. Send it!
Solid bike. Heck of a deal. Get out there and ride!
Great deal! Get some better pedals and go ride!
Biggest upgrades would be going tubeless, then the touch points: seat, grips, handlebars. After that a set of carbon wheels and it’s good to go!
I picked one of these up in June after a 20-year break from mountain biking and it’s great bang for the buck. Just recently upgraded the brakes as I felt the stock ones were a little lacking, but it climbs and handles well. Great choice!
Beautiful bike!
I have the carbon version. I’ve been riding 25 years and it’s my favorite bike yet. It’ll make you grin.
