Replacing the stock Selle Italia saddle of my endurace after a Bike fit, but being clumbsy AF, I dropped the clamp with the screws removed. When trying to piece it back together I noticed that the bottom part, which rests on the seatpost, is not symmetrical and can be turned with a longer end facing the handle bars or the reer wheel. Which is the correct direction, because naturally I don’t remember which direction it was mounted.

Long side back is the right direction. You can zoom in a picture of most of canyons bikes, they all use the sp0057 seatpost. But tbh this doesn’t matter that much
