Got this bike for free from a friend! It’s incredible. It’s my first bike, but I’m hoping to keep it long term. I want to know if there’s anything I can do to protect the carbon fiber and the integrity of the frame. Think clear coat to protect it. Is there anything I can do for that?

Dunno about saving and protecting the frame. While I totally understand being thused cause new for you and awesome ( the frame is sweet) the protection is, for me, secondary to the pimp potential of this beast.
I mean things as well as ourselves all crumble tothe merciless onslaught of time. Times our most valuable asset too. Time best spent would be to switch that saddle out, at least level it, drop the stem like it’s hot, and slap on some pedals with toe cages. Make it a racer.
Optically that would do it justice.
There’s wax polish to give the frame itself a glow up. Depending on the state of the top coat choose a suitable polish.
Get it technically fit. Clean the drivetrain. Check if the chain is still good.
